The Trust’s information technology (IT) team have won the MedTech Visionaries award, in the ‘best hospital technology implementation’ category, for developing an application that has freed up time previously spent gathering information to support external inspection of services.
The software that the team has developed allows for a method to quickly and securely carry out the completion of a variety of operational and clinical audits in real time. The end result being that the Trust is better placed to deliver safe and effective patient care across the organisation because data collected is much more comprehensive, accurate and meaningful. Additionally, the new way of working supports the Trust’s continued drive to streamline processes towards a paperless way of working.
Shaun Middlemas, Head of IT said, “The team have worked really hard on this project, which frees up management time enabling colleagues to commit more time to support frontline staff and our patients. The award is testament to their forward thinking, collaboration and expertise, and I am proud that they have received recognition for the commitment, innovation and effort they put into producing Q-Tech.”
The MedTech Visionaries Awards provide recognition and increased visibility to a sector that continues to make a positive impact in how we view our world and interact with it.
