The service is for anyone living in Sandwell or registered with a Sandwell GP, aged 16 and over who is looking for support with a range of common mental health issues. The service delivers talking therapies including cognitive behaviour therapy and counselling.
Additionally the service allows access to a wide range of group provisions, which will be delivered in various venues across the borough. Some of the areas for which help and support will be provided include: depression; phobias; stress; low self-esteem; bereavement, anger issues and much more.
Susan Van Genderen, Clinical Lead said, “We are excited by the launch of this new service which means that people living in Sandwell can now benefit from improved access to help and support enabling them to make simple lifestyle changes that can make a big difference to their overall mental health and wellbeing.
