Seeking new Governors in Walsall and Wider West Midlands

Nominations are now being invited ahead of elections to find new governors to join Black Country Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (BCPFT). These elections give you the opportunity to represent the interests of colleagues and the public and help inform and influence the future of the Trust.

The Trust is specifically looking for candidates to fill seats in our Birmingham and the Wider West Midlands and Walsall constituencies. We are also seeking staff Governors. Completed nomination forms are to be received by 5pm on Monday 4th June 2018.

If you are a member you can get involved by:
•    Standing as a Governor in one of our public or staff constituencies
•    Voting for a candidate who you feel would best represent your views

BCPFT, which provides mental health, learning disability and childrens services, is also looking for people to join its Assembly of Governors.

Trust Governors are individuals that tie a Trust to its patients, staff and local stakeholders. They are direct representatives of local interests within the governance structure of the Trust.

Governors play a central role in informing and influencing future plans, including how we invest to improve the quality of patient care.

Anyone who is a member of the Trust and aged 16 or over can be a Governor.

Where are we seeking nominations?

Nominations are now being accepted from people who wish to become Public and Staff Governors representing the following areas:

Walsall -
1 seat (starts from July 2018)

Birmingham and Wider West Midlands – 1 seat (starts from June 2018)

5 seats (covering all staff groups).
