Trust Health Visitors support Dudley Play Week

Health Visitors at Black Country Partnership NHS Foundation Trust will be supporting Dudley Play Week in July and August to help raise the profile of the service and what it can offer to parents.

Dudley’s popular play week event, which is set to keep children entertained across five borough parks, invites young people of all ages to come along and enjoy a range of play activities on offer starting from Monday 31st July.

During the week there will be group games, sports and stalls. Most of the activities on offer are free of charge.

This year the week starts off at Huntingtree Park, Halesowen, on Monday 31st July, Silver Jubilee at Coseley on Tuesday 1st August. Wednesday’s event (2nd August) will be at Mary Steven’s Park in Stourbridge. Dudley's Priory Park will host on Thursday 3rd August and the week will conclude on Friday 4th August at The Dell, Brockmoor, Pensnett. Each event starts at noon and finishes at 4pm.

Joy Williams, Service Manager, said: “Play week is always hugely popular and sees thousands of children and families come along to enjoy the activities on offer. It’s a great way for children to enjoy traditional activities, learn new skills, make friends and most importantly have fun.”

“As a service we aim to empower families to provide the best possible start in life for their children. We encourage parents to drop into our stall and ask any questions they may have about the early years.”

Participants just have to complete a basic registration form at each park to join in the fun. Children under eight years need to be accompanied by an adult at all times.
