Staff were on hand to chat to carers about how the Trust can continue to help build a carer friendly community and provide much needed services for our carers.
Linda Price, Team Manager, said “We recognise the valuable role carers play and want to support that role as much as we can. It is well documented that people providing high levels of care are more likely to suffer long term illness themselves and we see first-hand that our carers are so busy looking after their loved one that they often neglect their own health.
“We are really pleased that the day was such a hit and we were able to give carers their much needed downtime to come together and eat, drink and talk in a stress free environment!”
Black Country Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is committed to involving and supporting carers in the work that we do by providing carers with a range of guidance and information with 1-to-1 support visits and education group sessions.
