BCPFT supports Nutrition and Hydration week 2017

Nutrition and Hydration Week, 13th – 16th March, aims to create a global movement that will reinforce and focus, energy, activity and engagement on nutrition and hydration as an important part of quality care, experience and safety improvement in health and social care settings.

Black Country Partnership NHS Foundation Trust are supporting and promoting Nutrition and Hydration Week through a variety of different ways for patients, staff and visitors throughout the week. Across all Trust cafes, healthy and freshly made smoothies will be on offer to all patients and staff. Alongside this, healthy meal deals with a free bottle of water will also be on sale to highlight the importance of keeping hydrated.

Both Edward Street Café and Penn Hospital Café will be holding a Test Your Nutrition Knowledge Quiz in the week. Edward Street Café will be holding their quiz on Tuesday 14th March and Penn Hospital on Wednesday 15th March. Bottles of water and fruit will be given to all quiz participants which has been kindly donated by Bidvest Food service.

Nutrition and Hydration week is a great opportunity for everyone – staff and service users – to think about and encourage good nutrition and hydration practices.
