Are you interested in representing the views of your community or your colleagues at the Trust’s Assembly of Governors?
Nominations are now open for both staff and public governors to stand for election.
Governors play an important role in the running of the Trust, they bring valuable perspectives from different areas of the Black Country or from different professional groups and they can influence the Trust’s plans. Governors receive specific training to support them in their roles.
Sonia Davies, Public Governor for Sandwell, became a governor after a long career in the NHS. She said,
“When I retired I wanted to continue my links but in a less hands on role. I've found the role as a governor challenging, interesting, thought provoking and rewarding.”
Alan Deane, is a Public Governor for Wolverhampton. He said: “I felt I could contribute something in Wolverhampton and to the Trust overall. The work has been satisfying and the Trust is now at an important point for its future development. I would encourage anyone with an interest to step forward.”
All Trust members (both staff and public) will have received a letter explaining the role of the governor and how you put yourself forward as a candidate.
The closing date for nominations is the 23rd March. Key dates in the process can be found in the pdf Official Notice of Election .
