On Tuesday 2nd September we held our Annual Member Event at Walsall Central Hall Methodist Church.
The event showcased a wonderful turn out of new and old faces alike that eagerly partook in activities and interacted with stallholders, readily receiving the information that was on offer. Our ‘on the sofa chat session’ with Mel Passmore, Lead Governor proved to be a particular highlight of enjoyment with event goers as they managed to gather an insight on the current happenings within each division and put their questions forward to our panel of clinical professionals.
A range of services were also there on the day including The Lighthouse, Recovery College, PAMHS and Family Nurse Partnership as well as other organisations such as Alzheimer's Sociey, Barnados - My Space, My Time, Autism West Midlands and Headway Black Country’s Choir – who brought the event to a joyful close with their rendition of Jungle Book’s, ‘I Wanna Be Like You’.
This positivity continued later on to the AGM, which boasted one of its biggest turnouts in recent years of 85 people displaying high interest in the future plans of our Trust.
Debra Attwood, Membership Support Manager who organised the event with Judith Brown, Membership Assistant, said: “We’re really pleased with the feedback that we have received so far from attendees and those who held stalls. It was great to see so many members and people interested in our services attending and finding out more about the work we do and our future plans. We are already setting our sights on next year’s event in Dudley, so please keep your comments and suggestions coming.”
