Stand up for local healthcare services, stand as a governor!

There are only a few days left to nominate yourself, or somebody you know, to become a public governor for our Trust.

Vacancies are open for public governors across Walsall, Wolverhampton, Dudley and Sandwell.  If you are a resident over the age of 16 years with an interest in specialist healthcare, including mental health, learning disabilities and children's community services, then standing as a public governor could be just the opportunity you're looking for.

A Foundation Trust gives patients a much better say in the way things are run and the kinds of services that are provided. Governors are essential to a foundation trust because they represent the interests of the people in the area they serve and provide a vital link between the Trust and the communities it is working for. They act as champions for the views of our patients to ensure local people are getting the health services they want for their future.

Being a governor is a voluntary role but in return the Trust will support you and train you to give you the confidence and skills, as well as the right knowledge, to enable you to play your role within the Trust.

You will be vital in challenging our Trust Board and keeping it on its toes!

If you are up for this unique challenge, then have a chat with our Membership Team on 08000 130 103.

If you are already a member of the Trust, you will have been sent your governor nomination pack in the post already.

Nominations are now open but will close on Monday 16th June.  Members will then be able to vote for their new governor from Friday 4th July.
