Space in the boardroom

We are on the lookout for people to join our Board! We have three vacancies, two non-executive directors and one associate non-executive director.

The Board is made up of a six Non-Executive Directors (NED) and six executive directors who have joint responsibility for all the activity and finances of circa £100m.

Trust Chairman Mr Bob Piper said: "We are looking for exceptional individuals who are passionate about improving standards of care.

"The successful candidates will join a dynamic Board, providing vision and leadership to the Trust. They will directly contribute to making a positive difference to the lives of our local community."

Local businesswoman Pauline Werhun CBE has been a Trust non-executive director for three years and has over 40 years experience within the NHS.

"It is a fascinating role, and a very satisfying one as you are contributing to key services in the community. Whilst the executives are responsible for day to day operational management, the non-executive directors share responsibility for developing strategy and taking a supportive and challenging approach by using our very varied backgrounds and experience to inform board discussions."

Non-executives and associate non-executive are expected to work four days each month and for that they will be remunerated.

The deadline for applications is 28 March 2014, with interviews being held on 1st and 2nd May 2014.
