Trust HR Team shortlisted for HMPA award

HR Team of the YearBlack Country Partnership NHS Foundation Trust are celebrating after its Human Resources team have been shortlisted for HR Team of the Year at the Healthcare People Management Association Awards 2018.

In its submission, the team outlined the significant achievements over the last two years during a period of uncertainty with limited resources against a backdrop of increased demand and expectation. The entry outlined the ways of working and team composition, examples of technical excellence and innovative approaches applied, how the team demonstrates excellent leadership and team working and how they have contributed to the achievement of Trust objectives.

Judy Griffiths, Associate Director of Human Resources said, “It’s an honour to lead the HR team and we are all very proud of the work that has been undertaken in the team. Being shortlisted of this national award is a real achievement.

“It is a real boost to the HR team and well-deserved recognition for the transformation of the service and for the part they each play in supporting staff, managers and ultimately the successful delivery of high quality care in an evolving NHS landscape.”

Other contenders for the HR Team of the Year Award, which is sponsored by Welsh Government, include South Eastern HSC Trust, Belfast Health & Social Care Trust and NHS Dumfries & Galloway.

The HPMA Excellence Awards 2018 aims to recognise and reward the outstanding work in healthcare human resource management. 

The team will be visiting London and presenting their submission in April before winners of the awards are announced at a ceremony on Thursday 7th June 2018.
